Coulter Lake's summer high season starts May 30th and runs through Labor Day. Summer high-season stays are on the Full American Plan, based on 3 and 6 night stays.

What's included...

Full American Plan includes all lodging, meals, horseback riding, swimming, hiking, children's programs, trout fishing (in our private lake), and all evening activities.

  • 6-Night stay: Arrive Sunday after 3pm and depart Saturday by 1pm after lunch.
     
  • 3-Night stay: Arrive Sunday after 3pm and depart Wednesday by 1pm or arrive Wednesday after 3pm and depart Saturday by 1pm after lunch.

Guests staying less than 6 nights can participate in all activities that are held on those dates. Please call the ranch for details on packages different from 3 or 6 nights.

The charge per carload to pick up or drop off guests is:

  • $50 for Glenwood Springs or Rifle
  • $100 for Grand Junction or Eagle/Vail Airports

Children under the age of 4 are free. Babysitting is available with notice, for an additional cost of $10 per hour.

Contact us if you'd like to bring your own horse. Boarding fee is $15 per night per horse (which includes outside stall, water & hay). Certified hay is required.

All buildings at Coulter Lake Guest Ranch are non-smoking. You are welcome to smoke outside of the buildings in the designated areas. We also cannot accommodate pets at the ranch during high season.

A 3.9% tax will be added to the final bill. Gratutities will be left to the descretion of each guest.

A 25% deposit is required to hold a reservation. Any reservation cancelled more than 60 days in advance will receive a full deposit less a $100 administrative fee. Reservations cancelled within 60 days will forfeit the deposit unless the reserved space can be fully rented in which case the deposit will be refunded less the $100 administrative fee.

Phone reservations will be held for 14 days.
